I have at last found the problem with my electrical woes. I'll first go over the problems first, no raido memory, no tachometer, no econo-guage, no interior lights, no on board computer. All fuses were in tact and working correctly however there was still no power to these items, I finally traced it to a rotted juncton located in the primary wiring harnes located under the carpet just below where the drivers door and kick pannel meet, there is a red wire with a green tracer the comes from fuse #10 in the fuse pannel. This one wire links to about 7 other red with green tracer wires. Once repaired, everything worked again, it took me about 2 hours to hand trace that #10 fuse wire to this point. I'm unsure if other 89 325i's are suffering this problem but I hope this helps.
