my passenger side window quit a little while ago. i checked the switches and filed off the contacts and it still wouldnt work. then i took apart the door and took off the window motor and found it wasnt even spinning while it was still hooked up. i took a chance and ripped the motor apart and sure enough it was all corroded and just in shitty shape.
if you do end up needing a new motor just a quick note: the 84? to 87 uses a different motor than the e30's from 88-91. the threads are a little different. i already made that mistake.
thanx for the help i pulled out the switches and the driver side door ones were not plugged in all the way the passenger side windows just have blown motors but just more thing to buy in the spring for the car.
