I wonder did my car come with power steering or is it normally that stiff to turn?

without the car on turn the wheels its really hard right? now turn the car one and turn the wheels while note moving is it easier? if so then you have power steering.

your pump could aslo be shot or no fluid but it would make a screeching noise when turning so i doubt thats the case.

My car is kinda screeching when I turn so I have been trying to fix it the apst few days. The fluid level is fine and the power steering still works, just stiffer to turn wheel.

Damn power steering is leaking no wonder the wheel was hard to turn. The power steering fluid was empty too. Found a hose of some kind in the trunk that is brand new but not sure what it's for......I think it is the power steering replacement hose, but hey I could be wrong.
NOW......another Problemo......the engine is surging does that mean I have a possible vacuum leak? used
Also my odometer isn't working might be because some dip doodle reset the odometer while the car was moving......YES!!! that dip doodle is me......yeah I know smooth move go ahead rip me a new one I pretty much expect it. ghead

i did that and i just hit the switch harder and then gave the dash a wack and she picked right back up again. and as far as the hose, well its kinda hard to mistake a power steering hose... they're rather distinctive if it looks the same then there is good chances that it is.
