Please Help - Fuel Delivery Problem

I have a 1987 325i convertible, I am having a fuel delivery problem - not quite sure where to start. The car will start and run just fine when it is weather is cold, but it will not start at all when the weather is hot. It has been suggested that my fuel pump is going out, looking for any other ideas before I drop the tank to change it. The car doesn't sputter or anything before it dies, the engine just stops.

just take the bottom of the back seat up by pulling up on it and move that out of the way and there will be a black plate with 4 screws and u take that plate off and there is the fuel pump under that plate also that car has a inline pump which is right behind the drivers door under the car right by the fuel filter

beamerman is right - you should find the fuel pump under the back seat - it is not hard to change. A real quick little trick would also be to bang on the top of the fuel pump and see if it starts up. If this helps it start, then it is probably your fuel pump going out.

You might also want to check and see if the fuel pump relay/fuse needs replacing.
