Occasionally the engine over revs, even when stationary at times.
Checked the accelerator cable at the throttle housing, and it does stick at times.
Anybody got any pictures of the cable entry point to give me an idea what is missing or worn, so i can replace it or botch it temporarily.
many thanks.

there is a idle control module at the air box it has a connector on it with three connections. if any of them are loose it revs randomly, i would check there first.

Having just bought my 325 I've had my guy rev on me every once in a while, like it has some wild cams in it, as I'm letting the car warm up. That's nice info to know, I'll give that a check.

by saying "over revs" are you saying that the car is exceeding redline, even at idle??? Or are you saying that it is just idling high?
