So I just changed my oil on my e30 and to my suprise the filter style is different from my previous e30.
It is a horizontal oil filter housing and a paper filter insert. My old e30 used a conventional screw on canister...
This oil housing design is pretty poor in my opinion. Its horizontal and holds probably 1/2 a quart of oil that spills out all over everything even if the pan is drained first
How common is this??? I ask because I had a hell of a time finding the filter
Can this be converted to the conventional style of filter?
