Hmm... I've never seen that before, it may have just taken a dump. You can get them for next to nothing on ebay, it's kind of a pain to install though. I acutally have an extra one if you'd like to buy it.

Pppp

Try turning the ingnition key to on so radio and OBC light up (not the instrument cluster) and then push the code butoon and then using a ball point pen push the reset button on the OBC until you get a time/date request and see if that works (recodes the system). I have also heard that with igniton on pulling fuse 21 and then repalcing it may work.

Jim,
it means that there was a voltage spike, do disconect it, then, remove the code plug from back side (white plug).

reinstall plug, reconnect obc and it should fire back up.

ah ha, voltage spike. could this be a early warning sign of an alternator or voltave regulator failure?

obc p.p.p.p.p.

well i have tried the recode, and tried remove and reinstall the plug but no help. i removed and dissambled the obc and found corosion all over parts of the circut boards. this will be tough to clean up because the three boards are soldered to a small mother board and can not be seperated easilly. this was a similar problem when my s.i. board was acting up. i have found corosion on most of the electrical things that have given me problems. mabey my car was a submarine in a previous life.
