So Im new to the bmw scene bought a bmw and going to pick it up monday it is a 325i with a cooling problem but I read up on here what to expect I have done work on bimmers before and I am going to school to work on german cars thats all Ive owned is german cars besides a galant that was a beater I am currently going to school for automotive what Im looking for is a budget build, things that I can bolt on and drive the car the same day any suggestions I still live with my parents and work full time at a local monroe muff/brake so I bring in about 600 every two weeks so I have about 300 to spare at the end of the week after all the things I need any suggestions
not sure only went to look at the car and test drove it but the gauge doesn't go up for like ten minutes of running Im going to do a compression test on the cylinder and also the cooling system ill pull the thermostat and throw a lighter under it and hopefully it won't pop
also the stereo is locked you know when they need a safe code to unlock them where do I get the code to unlock the thing I have an eclipse head unit but I want to stick to the stock interior
fixed the cooling system I think I need to know what the normal operating temp is for this car and I don't want to use the eclipse I like the look of the stock head unit could I just unplug the wires in the back would that reset the code
does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for an aftermarket headunit I began putting mine in and I ended up triping some fuses and now my windows won't go up
I found a power wire and also a ground but the power wire I found doesn't turn the radio off with the car and I also can't figure out the speaker wires
