so the other night I went to leave my sisters house and go to start my car well it just cranked and cranked and cranked so i checked the wires, no spark then moved to the coil wire, no spark swapped out the coil, no spark so i figured it lead to the crank sensor seeing how that was next on the list well it turns out that once I replaced that it still does not start so I had my brother-in-law tow it to my workplace(a garage) and monday I will be going in early any ideas of what I should look for its getting fuel and air just no spark also one of my friends mentioned "cancer" in these cars where the wires rot and create bad grounds but hes not to much of a reliable source

Have you checked all fuses.

yep im afraid that it could be the ecu but hopefully its not

Ok, You may not be getting any power to the DME/ECU, maybe the DME relay has gone,
have you also checked rotor cap and arm.

most of the ignition system is new with the exception of the coil I'll be sure to check the relay tomorrow

yeah my brother in law put a blaster coil in his truck a while ago I'll ask him agian im sure we can try a different one

Ok, see if its the coil, if that's good, my next thing would be Camshaft sensor

I'll be sure to test the sensor tomorrow morning I've got my repair manuel so I'll check before I go to bed on how to test it

so it ran fine and you shut it off and went in for a few hours, then came out and the thing wouldn't fire at all?

it was having a hard time starting before like earlier that morning I left for work well I had to crank on it more than usual but I figured it was due to the cold

shes fixed took a risk and replaced the coil she runs fine now put a short shifter in and when I'm in reverse first or second the stick rubs the driveshaft but I'll be able to fix that myself thanks for the help guys
