Newby Needs Help!

Hey im new here and wonder if anyone could give me some useful advice.

Firstly, i need to change the carpets in my e30, not the mats, the actual carpet, is this a hard job and does anyone have any advice on how to go about it, cos im thinkin of doing it myself, but dont wanna screw it up!

Secondly, I need to change the drivers side air vent in the dash, as my one is cracked somewhat. i have taken the grill section out, (very simple) but the surround seems to be tucked very VERY securley into my dash (as expected!) Any advice on how to get this out without destroying my dashboard!

Anyone who replies to this - thanks loads, ill put some pics up when im finished!

changing the capets isn't hard email me and i'll send you instruction. I can't remember about the vent I'll check up in work and let you know

Excellent, thanks for that, I have just been having a look myself, and I think I might have the vents sussed out, but the carpet instructions would be very useful! Anyway, back to the lab i go......................
