HI the names Alec, i just acquired myself a 1987 BMW 325is with 145km. It's in great shape for its age. i plan on putting a lot of work into it while i garage it for the winter. And i was wondering if anyone knows how i would go about getting sponsors for my car. since i am a student and all i can't put all of my money into my car. Thank you all.
Well welcome to the board first of all. And good choice of car, you'll love it.
As terms go with trying to get someone to sponsor you for money for your car, outside of a loan...Id say you need to start AutoCrossing or Clubracing and have companies sponsor you for their products.
Other then that I dont know.

Agreed. If you can be effective at AutoX, ESPECIALLY as a rookie, you have some contingency marketability. Basically, if you make rookie of the year at your local BMWCCA or SCCA Club, you can talk to the sponsors that are usually there, like Tire Company reps, Wheel Reps, etc... Show that you are good, and if you are using some particular brands products to get you to the front, they will be more likely to offer you contingency sponsorships. If you use Kumho tires to win, talk to the Kumho rep. If you use BBS wheels, talk to the BBS rep. They aren't always there, usually at the major regional or national events, but if you can get that far, you have some possible promise!
Although there is some website out there that advertises on Yahoo a lot that allows you to beg for sponsorships from them, but it looks more like a "pimp my ride" kind of bling bling sponsorship. The kind of stuff that will slow you down! NOT what an e30 needs!
Hope this helps!

Damn straight Josh! If you are successful at AutoX, then start looking for some sponsors. If you can prove yourself, and they are willing to sponsor, you, DON"T let them put a massive system in your car. Then it is just a ricer.

Two wheels or Four, I'm happy as long as the throttle is pinned.
Here is that sponsorship webpage if you are interested. Like I said, this looks more like a bling type sponsorship, but who knows unless you try!
