New.... with a problem!!

Hi to all!

Iv been working on a project for the last two years. The original engine was a 323. I have now put in a 325 with a worked head

The motor turns and starts but as soon as you accelerate the engine dies.
Do i have to change the ECU box from 323 to 325.....is this the reason.

I really want to complete the project so any help would be great

What year motor did you put in?

if 325 then you need a 325 chip or whole ecu,
recommend you later models as on 1.3 Motronics, also know as # 173 and others.

stay away from early Motronic 1.1 also known as # 153 ecu's they give the worst idle.

sounds like your fuel maps are totally off... which would make since if you didnt swap the ecu and all... its like telling a snowboarder to swim in a turniment... he'll A) make it, but barely, or B) just drown trying... listen to star marvin though... hes the true expert, and if its not ecu, then hes the man to talk to...
