Ive got a metallic silver 1985 325e. I got it from a family friend for 6... dollars. He was going to give it to me for free but my dad owed him a case of beer. so the joke goes that I can double the value of it by putting a 6 pack in the trunk.
Its got about 200,000 miles on it and when I got it, it was in fairly good shape. The tensioners on the belts still squeal even tho I got new ones. I dont think the gears on the bolts dont mesh right. anyone have that problem?
Since im japanese ive asian pimpified it (aka ricerness) but not to the american river standards, I did what japanese guys do to their cars in japan. As a joke I put the first year drivers mark in my back window. Ill post picks when i get it back from the shop....
My clutch gave out yesterday, in the middle of an intersection... $110 for the towing, $240 for the clutch, and they said itll be 400 for the labor to put it back on (machining the fly wheel and stuff is pretty expensive). Seeing as the clutch was never changed on it, its gone very well.
Oh ya, my friends say my car is a sleeper, I dont really know what that means. Is that fairly true about modest looking 325s? |
