hey guys im Matt. i just bought a E21 320is about 3weeks ago. im new to this and if anyone can give some advise that would be great. aside from the small things that need to be fixed i dont know where to start or what to do. any ideas?

hey man welcome to the forums. this is what you should be looking for, it may not have accured, but its always nice to be aware of:

Be wary of samples that have been overheated under your hood. warped heads, blown head gaskets are fairly common occurences.

check the engine compartment fuel lines, looking for leakage.

the fuel lines for the k-jetronic system are an opaque plastic that is known to become brittle over time and may crack in the preformed bends and at the end fittings

thermal reactors have proved troublesome, and crack sets. they are expensive, sorry, lol.

just a few things that Ive learned, hope it helps.
