Now I know the e is "economy" with the 2.7 and 4500 rpm limit. But how swapable are parts from 87 up? I see the driveline is the same length, but can you use the 5 speed out of an 87 in an 84? What about body pannels and dash parts?

I bought this car with no intention of keeping it until I drove it. Now I'm hooked and would like to clean it up and make it work. I'm not getting much help from local shops or the dealer, they seem clueless about the differences.

Where is a good mailorder shop for performance parts for BMW? Here is a list of what I need:

Right side mirror
5 speed
right side window motor

So can I use any of these items off any e30, or does it need to be 84 to 86? Thanks for any help.

Now on the eta, get a chip for the ECU and a lower ratio for the differential and it will wake that car up.

You have a differential ratio of 2.79 to 1 and 3.25 or higher is the real deal.

how hard is to to change my differential ratio, and give me a link for an ECU for the 84 325e ron, i've only found dinan that offers it towards the tuning side, and turner doesn't have 84 from what i've heard anda checked
