what are your guys' opinion on short shift kits for an e30 325 with F/I? need the best one for around 150

i got my B&M for 98 bucks on ebay and its really short and tight, i am happy with it

what kind of throw reductions does the B&M offer? i hear the Z3 shifter swap gives a good drop in throw? i believe it was the Z3 can't remember which would reduces the most and is the cheapest?

it is the z3. my B&M says it averages 40% reduction

hmm thats pretty good... sounds tempting, ill do it next time i have the engine and tranny out which should be the summer some time

www.bimmertoys.com has the UUC Evo II shifter that ig ot for 195$ and its amazing, but there is one flaw, i guess it made the linkage come down a little and so it would rub on the Vibration Dampener which is located around where the Guibo meets the tranny, but you can remove the dampener after removing the driveshaft, its somewaht busy work, but its something that needs to be done. Removing the dampener creates no difference in performance or sound or anything, its just suppose to help some vibration, but there isnt any difference(noticible) after removing it.

the only problem with that is he wants one for around 150 not 200, my B&M fit right in and it has just as good performance, with no modification for 100 bucks maybe less

you got a part number for that thing? im tempted to go to lordco and see what i can pick it up for. thanks or if not what was it out of?

see I have a UUC in my e36 and I LOVE IT! But I've driven this e30 4 times and I know it needs one. I think I'm going to get B&M for 100 dolla. Sounds like a great deal to me.

B&M is definetely a good way to go, but if you want to spend some more$, go for UUC, you wont be losing anything going for each one.

B&M stage 1 = 90
Stage 2 = 115
stage 3 = 159

not much of info on what the differences of them are.. any input?

they're probable getting shorter that would be my guess.
