ive spent 2 days so far on the computer trying to find an engine reuild kit for my rare car. if ne one can find a rebuild kit for a '79 320-6 ( the german made inline 6) with a four barrel carb, i'll give u a cookie. thxs for ne one that wants to help.
rare? I would say non-existant...a 1979 320 6 cylinder that is carbed? what country was that exported to? no, that's impossible, doesn't exist....on several different levels....
yes, it was for the german market, and someone decided to brg it over here later on. if u dont belive me that the bmw that is sitting in my backyard is a 320 with an inline six head over to wikipedia and look up the history of the 320 and if that dont convince you ill even take a pic of the the car and engine on a sunny day and take a pic of the german owners manual. oh and sry if i was trying to create any drama, im just trying to tell ppl that there are car from the german market over here too.
that would be a wee, little 6 there ya know...a 2.0 litre 6 cylinder BMW engine...hmm..I could be wrong here but a 2.0 litre 6 cylinder engine? come on....what would the point be then, assuming that is true?
I am not saying that you are not correct, that may be very well correct. It's just that a 2.0L BMW 6 cylinder engine is very unusaul here in the US....in fact, unknown...nevertheless...you seem reasonable so I guess that must exist....that leaves me with nothing but an apology and wishing you the best of luck....
honestly i just want to rebuild the engine since its puffing out blue smoke and i might want to use it as my fun car as soon as i get money to license and insure it. and just because its a 2.0 doesnt mean it dont have power, my friend that gave it to me was having fun driving it around when we were moving it across the street from his house to mine.

The European E30 had been available with a 2.0 6 pot. There were some nations that taxed on engine displacement, and 2.0 was the upper limit. In fact, there was a 2.0 version of the M3 engine also for these tax jurisdictions.
ya im thinking of doing a motor swap with a engine that has much better parts availability since i have found no rebuilt kit for the 320-6, it always have to be that little 4 cylinder 320i
Yeah, parts for the US spec 2.0 4 pot will be way easier to find. The 2.0 6 would be very interesting though; maybe you can save that block for info from members in Europe to help with a longer term project.
