| MZ3 Diff swap
I have a 91 318is (S52 w/ OBDI converted) and I have just bought an MZ3 diff for it. The guy I ordered it from over the phone thought I said i have a 325is. So he told me over the phone all i needed to do was swap the rear cover with my old one. Well now I need to find a 325XX rear cover, no biggy.
I am concerned now about my long axles and my short axles. I was told that my short axles were going to be too weak and may not even hook up right, however I am thinking this might only be for the 318i, not 318is. That is what I need to know, whether or not I can use my short axles with this swap.
If I do need to get 325xx short axles will they hook up to my long axles? I'm hoping I don't need all new axles..any information would be great, thanks. |
