3-Series (E21, E30)Chat relating to the BMW 3-Series from 1975-1983 and 1984-1991 line. Specific models: BMW 315, BMW 316, BMW 318, BMW 318i, BMW 320/4, BMW 320i, BMW 320/6, BMW 323i, BMW 320i. E30 Family models include: BMW 325e, BMW 325i, BMW 325is, BMW 325ix.
Last week I gat a 96 325is coupe. I love the car..it is completly different then driving my e30. Some good ....some not so good. It's much smoother..luxurous ride. It's definitly a more comfortable car. The power is smooth and it just feels faster. I broke 100 and it just felt like i wasn't moving.
But what I think is missing is my e30 feels more like a sports car. It's just raw..I can feel the bumps in the rode. I can feel that all wheel drive just bighting in when I hit the corners. I can feel the speed and that keeps me in check. In the corners the e36 feels kinda cumbersome I guess. Where my e30 feels nimble my e36 just feels heavy. I don't know maybe im not used to the awd compared to rwd.
I love both cars but the e30 will be my daily driver..the wife is getting the e36 for her daily travels.
anybody else out thier have both and can give me thier view..
here's some pics of my 2 girls

I own both as well,
e36= boring, heavy, smooth, watered down
e30= lighter, quicker, louder, raw
Exactly ...though boring might not be the right word. It's still fun to drive. Even my wife said yesterday that it just doesn't feel as quick in the corners as my ix.
