My car is leaking water

Dammit, there is water (not coolant) on my front passenger side carpet. The water is leaking in from behind the center console up near the firewall. Where the hell is it getting in from though??? Is it from the vents below the windshield?? ghead

On e21 it can be the sealant on the A/C lines.
The lines are sealed with a hardening putty.


Also on the e21 and e30 the usual suspect , for water in pax side, is the windshield seal.

If it is the windshield seal it fills the glovebox and on the ECU equipt cars it can burn the computer up.

If it is leaking on ECU, wrap the ecu in plastic until corrected.

I can't tell if it's leaking from the windshield or from the drain below the windshield. There is no water in the glove compartment. It's dripping from the seal of some plastic housing behind the glove compartment.

If you look up in the corner of the passenger area, there is a 2 piece black housing held together with like 3 screws and water is inside it. It drips between where the 2 pieces meet.

The drain tube was plugged 100%. Hopefully that was my problem.
