My 90 325i Automatic

Have had a 325i before, but previous one was a stick, in this case it's an auto. The question I have is 2 buttons near the shift lever. I recognize 4 of the 6 being window buttons, but there are 2 that I don't know, and any indicators have all but worn off. Upper left of the shift lever is a small square button, is this an overdrive switch/city hwy switch and if pushed in does it activate city or hwy? the other is upper right of the shifter, rectangular shaped, is this a rear window lock? I'm sure I will have other questions as I go along as this 1990 differs a little from the 87 I owned previously. Thanks in advance

your car may be different, but as far as i know, the little top left square button locks the rear windows, and the rectangle top right button locks all the windows, try it out

I'll try that today as the window switches in the back are starting to work now. Amazing how things start working again as I drive it more Can't wait until warmer weather so I can start working on it more. My first major project inside is changing out the wiper and cruise levers, they are both useless right now. I have found replacements on Ebay, any idea on how hard it will be to change them? The speedo is still intermittent, seems to work more frequent on longer drives. I hear this is probably just the connections, so i will get the instrument cluster out and dialectic grease them come warmer weather.

the little square switch at the top left of the gear shift area only locks the back windows on the back window switches, the switches by the gearshift for the back windows will still operate the rear, well that is the way it is with my car
