my car backfired then stopped,has spark to dizzy and is getting fuel but no spark from dizzy can anyone tell me what the problem is please

No spark at all?
Could be a failing/failed coil... An ignition relay/wiring fault ? Not sure, more info would be great buddy...

I was driving then the car started backfiring and making popping noises, had no power , and wont start it kicks over its getting fuel and getting spark from coil but not from the dizzy. what else do i need to check ??

Dizzy's timing could have slipped... Or maybe check inside the distributor for cap faults.
If you find nothing sinister but still suspect the dizzy, then the Advance/Retard mech may have failed !
