Mangled A/c Wiring!

I'm a chevy guy so bear with me.

I couldn't get my A/C compressor to come on. Come to find out that I was missing the suction line and low pressure switch

Added parts and system takes and holds a charge now, but the compressor won't kick on. There is a clipped black/brown stripe wire coming from the high pressure (green terminal) switch. And it looks like the wire that goes to the Bosch compressor was ripped/burnt off.

I've looked around in junkyards, but alot of them have nippondenso systems, or the newer Bosch systems that look like mine, but not close enough.

I would try to connect the clipped wire to the compressor, but there is also a harness hanging out that's not attached to anything. Thx for the help, it's December here in Florida and i'm sweating my ass off

ok, I connected the suspected wire and the compressor kicked on and sounds like it's running ok

It takes a charge but doesn't cool, high side gets warm, low side doesn't get cold, and the pressure is marking a little high on the gauge ~60psi. There are still bubbles in the sightglass after 2 3/4 cans used

Since the system was open for so long, the oil is brown. I'm thinking of doing this in this order to fix it:

Drain excess/all oil?
Expansion valve
Dryer
All of the above

Any suggestions? This worked on my IROC (compressor took a crap and contaminated oil which destroyed orifice tube and drier), dunno if the same goes for BMW's

you sound much more experienced about A/C systems than i feel.
but im great at common (chevy-chase) mistakes.

have you checked to see if the pump pully is rotating the correct way.

what would that do?
check for small leaks ?
