m42

im looking to replace my m42 engine... anyone know of any for sale? im interested in getting a supercharger for the car. i hear u need a knock sensor for the supercharger to work properly and the m42 doesnt have one. does the m42 out of a 92 e36 hav one? or should i just try for an m44. people on other forums hav told me the m42 is a better engine than the m44. i appreciate the help.

Hey man, Grassroots Motorsports Magazine had an article a couple of issues back on that very subject and it was very informative! You should check out their website and see if you can get a back issue on it. Went step by step through the process and I believe whoever the manufacturer was is now making the kit especially for that setup!
