i have a 1985 325e. ive been looking around and really wanna lower it. i found some springs available. what all do i need to lower it, can i do it with just the springs or do i need to get new shocks and all the bushings and stuff? ive read in some places that the camber is affected when you lower it. im not looking to lower too much about 1.6 inches or so. some advice would be greatly appreciated
Shocks are HIGHLY recomended!!! what setup are you looking for? and what do you use the car for and howmany speed bumps? bushings are needed BUT if tey are worn out they should be replaced

i found a set of vogtland springs. im not gonna do any crazy driving or anything. its a 325e auto so its no speed demon ahah. just looking for something to make the ride look better and obviously be make it better for cornering.
I'm not sure of the drop on the vogtland springs are, I have heard only good things about H&R sport springs and I think it would get you the drop you are looking for. You could also try the ireland engineering stage 3 springs which may drop it a little more. I would also suggest putting on a sportier shock when you change springs, otherwise you will blow out your existing shocks quickly. I have Bilstien sports and I am pretty happy with them.

I have Eibach Pros
didn't cost a lot
yeah, I replaced all the bushings and everything as well as the shocks
my lowering wasn't really done perfectly since we had to do a quick job, the old springs were rusty so we mounted new but OEM shocks in it
I dunno I think we should have mounted sports shocks as well
the car's been lowered 3 to 4 centimeters
I'd still recommend lowering to every e30 owner, as well as generally renewing the whole bushings and things, it greatly improves handling
I just ordered Vog. springs and bilstein shocks..... i was told Vog. tends to lower the car quiet a bit(little more the advertized...) i'll let you know how they area(should be installing this weekend...)
