I got a 91 318is and I noticed that the oil pan hangs pretty low how many of you guys that have lowered your E30 have smacked the oil pain?? I have seen alot of them lowered and was just curious if that was a major problem with doing that

Yes...you do have a raised probability of taking out the pan, so if you proceed with the drop, be very careful. You'll learn over time to drift towards the center or the edge of deeply crowning roads, but the possibility is still there.

thats why i would never lower my E30! and the pan is a pain in the A$$ to replace!

Yeah I think I am going to leave it the way it is I realy don't feel like ripping it off and plus I don't feel like rolling to get out of my car

its easyer to change the pan than it seems

im gonna lower my car just ride wit some of your friends that have lowered cars and you will just start avoiding dips without noticing my car isn't even lowered and on dips i go to edge of curb
