well I posted a tread about how my car was overheating...so i took some advice kinda and changed my thermostat...that things in a weird place...its a bitch to get to. But anyway so i changed the thermostat to an aftermarket one and its temp was 170. Which seemed about right, but now the car doesnt reach the middle temperature line, its about 3/8 of the way on the temp gauge..is this bad that its cooling the engine more?
If its lower.... I'd say its better than higher.... I'm not up on the exact degree that a stock thermo is... but if you got one that is set at a lower temp to turn your fan on.. thus your engine is apparently running at a lower temp.. so I guess that would be a good thing.... I wouldnt worry about it.... colder is a lot better than hotter... I know that much....
