| Low Coolant Warning Light Hi All,
I was hoping that someone may be able to help out with a problem that I have.
I have an ’04 318i Bimmer (since new) and the ‘Low Coolant’ warning light appears intermittantly on the instrument panel. The temp guage does not rise when the warning light turns on, the level indicator rod shows that the radiator is full of coolant and there is an air pocket in the radiator inlet/top hose (also in the smaller hose that runs higher from the larger hose).
I have filled the air pocket via the two bleed plugs, where the warning light has so far not lit up on the inst panel.
My questions are . . .
Is this the correct method to rectify the warning light from coming on?
How is the air pocket formed/where does the coolant go? (there is no evidence of coolant leakage) and
What guarantees this from happening again?
Many thanks for any feedback.
Cheers . . . .
