Loss of power

Good afternoon, this is my dilema: I have an 89' 325ic I replaced the engine 5 months ago because me number 6 piston was breakng of the rod. Well my new problem is my car started losing power about 3 months ago, me check engine light keeps coming on and it wastes lots of gasoline. I'm goint to replace the O2 sensor and see if that makes a difference, it has a hard time starting after its warm and I can smell the raw gas coming from the exhaust pipe. I've done so much to this car that I dont want to sell it but I will if I dont get it fixed. I was thinking of getting an 89-91 325is 5 speed, I'm done with automatics. So I would like some input on this subject and any would be appreciated.

Are u sure its from the exaust i am having the same problem as you but the gas comes from right under the rear seat i think ur fuel pump is leaking like mine so either dont fill up ur car all the way or get it fixed i am too laxy to fix mine cuz i rather clean my injectors as well so try those two things

Well the thing is that there is no gas on the ground. Besides it has lost alot of power so I think its something more other than the gas tank or pump. I think maybe my injectors are dirty or maybe my O2 sensor is out, I dont know. Well lets see if anyone has anymore ideas.

smell the seat their doesnt have to be gas on the ground it can be a gasious forrm or vapour

Sure I'll give a shot... thanks for the input. But I just dont understand what the gas leak would have to do with amy loss of power and hesitation. Anyways I doappreciate you input bro' and I will check it out as soon as I get home.

umm...the o2 sensor...i belive the only purpose of that is for smog reasons, for them to calculate how much shit is going through ur exhaust i dont htink its that nessacary to switch it...other than that, i dunno wat to say

hey bro it could be yr injectors leaking . i have seen this problem and it had same symptoms as yrs so have a look at that. chur

ah, he is rite check those out man, it culd be the prob but im pretty sure the o2 sensor really doesnt have a thing to do with it

Hey you guys I really appreciate your ideas, I'm gonna look at that this weekend. I have a spare set of injectors with an intake manifold I have. Do you think that they might leak because of the fuel pressure being to high or something, well anyways this is the best results I've had with this forum ever. my friends...
