Im thinking about getting rid of the ugly rieger GTS front bumper on my car.
i cant afford to finish the body kit all the way around, and right now with only a
aftermarket front bumper on it, it doesnt look too pretty. (plus i scrape it alot)
anyone have one they can sell or know a place where i can get one??? if a
regualr 325i fton bumper would fit on it, i may consider one of those too. anything other than
whats on it now.

are the 325i and the 325is bumpers interchangable on the '87s??? i have a 325is
but i like the look of the 325i bumper better without the front apron or spoiler. plus im
hoping if i can get a 325i bumper on there, the plan is to maybe lower the car 1 or 2 inches for rail like turns but also have enough ground clearance to be a daily driver.

the "is" bumper is the same as a regular "i". what are you gonna do with the rieger style? how much?pic?

your one step ahead of me. rieger is going up for sale for whatever i can get the
other front bumper for. i dont plan on making or losing any money... just making
a switch. i will put a post up maybe in a week or 2 (depending on how long it takes to get the other bumper) with a pic and a price for the rieger. it really is in great shape.

i just went out and looked at it. there are almost like wooden blocks mounted on the back of the bumper which bold directly to the bumper shocks and then there are also the same blocks on the sides of the bumper which are held on using about 3 inch screws. its actually pretty sturdy. i was out there reamin pretty hard on the thing and it never budged. i can maybe get some pics tomarrow of it on the car. ( i dont really want to take it off until i get another bumper cause its really my only ride) ill get under it and get some pics of how it hooks up though. if ya have a bumper to trade, some pics of it would be great.

its not in perfect shape but it does have the "is" lip

it actually looks pretty hot. i was going to get some testarossa skirts and a rieger rear
bumper at one time but i never got around to it. theres no cracks, just a run in the clear coat and a stone chip. im guessing you will repaint it so no need to worry then. my dad decided he wanted to use the ramps so i couldnt get any pics of under the bumper. i didnt put it on either so i couldnt tell ya how easy or hard it was. somehow it fit on mine though so its not totally impossible. and since im such a nice guy, you can have the fog lamps and blinkers too javascript

i can get it on thats no problem, i just didnt know if it just covered the old bumper or took the place of it

yup, takes the place of. i can sell it to you but first i need to find a few other parts for my new front bumper before i take off the rieger. i want to mount it like the '87 325i so i still need the left and right plastics that go from the bumper to the fender and i also need the factory front spoiler without foglamps or brake ducts. if you would still like the bumper, go ahead and email me at: jetpilot773@yahoo.com and ill write ya back once i find the parts.
