I just picked up a 92 325i, lots of Km but someone loved it once and it is in remarkable shape. I do hope to find a couple of things right off the bat though.
I need an air intake boot as the one on the car looks like Red Green fixed it, duct tape o plenty.
The owners manual refers to the MID or "Multi Informational Display" a digital display at the bottom of the console. It should, I think be displaying things like outdoor Temperature, systems checks and so on. It is at present unreadable.

The MID on my car is unreadable but it is certainly trying to tell me something, does anyone know it there is an easy way to run a diagnostic? I want to make sure nothing serious is wrong.
Any thoughts?
