Bear is an unknown quantity at this point
1990 325ic (kids car, they are in Korea for two years and I am car sitting)and the drivers door lock will not lock with the key. I can lock it using the interior door lock/unlock knob and I can unlock it from outside with a key. Passenger side is locked tight and will not unlock with key or interior knob. Trunk will lock and unlock with the key. I replaced fuse #27 but that did not help, I have a Haynes but not a Bentley so I have no way to determine where the relay (if any resides for central locking). I have a ETK andETM but the ETM is new and does not include the E30 wiring diagrams. I suspect and electrcal glitch within the central locking system and any help greatly appreciated. I am at lazybears2@cox.net.

PS: I thought my 1988 750 was tough to diagnose, silly me.

The central/locking relay/control unit is mount above the right front foot well speaker inside the A pillar if you take the speaker cover off and then remove the speaker above the speaker hole youll see two cross-point screw heads undo these and the central/locking control unit will come down. If you take the top off the unit inside theres a three-legged solder fuse you can solder this back together. The other common fault this E 30 c/locking is the main power supply to the ECU this runes in and out of the door and the pins in the A pillar block connector corrode and stop power getting to the ECU
