Leaking Cabriolet roof

Ive got a an E30 1991 325i MotorSport cabriolet, and my problem is that the roof leeks in the corners where it meets the drivers and passenger windows. Its only a small leak like a drip but enough to wet the leather seats....and me!!!!

Having had a look at the roof, there seems to be some sponge style seals where the windows meet the roof, and its these where its leaking.

Does anybody know of a way to replace these seals without the obvious expense of replacing the whole roof. Or any thing i can use like a sealent to use.

Also, I live in london, Uk and Does anybody know of a good company that can fix problems with the electric mechanism that operates the roof, as it gets stuck halfway.

I had the same problem with mine. I thought it was where the top meets the gasket on top of the windshild but it turned out to be where the canvas top meets the front of the frame. It wasnt really leaking as much as jut wicking past the corner of the door windows. I got some black silicone winshiled sealer and put it in the corners between the canvas the the seal on the convertable top frame so that water would run off the top and drip on the side glass past the point where it meets the roof and top. If I get a chance I will take a pic of it. It hasnt leaked since.

Cool, sounds like the solution that I need. If you do get time a pic would be great.

Can you tell me what sort of sealant you used? Is it especially for this purpose?

I just used RTV black window sealer.
