just looking for some E30 info - BMW Forum

I currently in the market for a winter car. Can't exactly drive the M.. The DSM isn't gonna hold up to last me the winter.. What are some things to look for with the E30, I used to hate the way they look but it has grown on me over time and I'd love to purchase one to drive when it is not proper weather for the M to come out.. What is a nice price and what are some thing to look out for.. thanks in advance

what is a good price for a 120K car ? How good is the fuel mileage? and what goes wrong ? haha
what about the old IXs ? any problems with those.?

as much as i hate people using E30s for winter cars...such a waste of an amazing car...that asside,

i say find an ES cause it will come with LSD and the engine is good for 400k+ miles... my ES has 360k miles on it so far and runs like a champ, still has the stock headgasket

you may want to consider an old subaru for awd or VW/honda for fwd or something as a beater...RWD is the worst in the snow..rain and snow loves AWD/FWD

found a 1988 325IX with 190K it says there are some new partsbut the body looks like it's in nice shape .. Is that a too many miles. I know E30s are supposed to be durable but 200K miles is pretty damn durable
