jumpy fuel guage

91 325ix n00b Join Date: Jul 2006 Car: Posts: 27 Photos:	jumpy fuel guage I already did a search, didn't help much. Yesterday I noticed the fuel gauge wasn't working. So I read a post about conecting the wires from the sending unit and noticed that the needle in the guage went to full. Today I noticed it started working again but it's being all jumpy. Does that means a bad sending unit or it can be a loose wire in the cluster?? thankss

Starmavin 5th Gear Member Join Date: May 2004 Location: NC Car: Opening soon: Posts: 1,118 Photos:	If it went to full with out jumping when shorting out the sending unit harness, your problem is either the sending unit or corrosion between the plug and the sending unit.
