its cold and i have no heater

my heater doesnt work. the heater fans turn on so i kno they work and air blows out of the vents so they arent clogged and when i turn the knob to make make the heater hotter/colder i can see the valve opening in the inlet heater hose. and its not a blown fuse i have checked them already. could it have anything to do with my airconditioner switch not working either? any help would be great thanks

Your heater core is likely clogged up and getting no engine coolant through it. The heater core is like a small second radiator near the firewall that gets heat from the cooling system.

sure you have a thermostat? I'd start there...
