Installing the "chrome" window seals??

Hi!

I need to replace the "chrome" (plastic) window seals on both my 87 325 and 325IC. I tried to do this with my 85 325e (now defunt) and failed miserably. The new moulding is so tight, it seems impossible to get it in properly.

Anybody ever try to install a new windshied in a MGB......Same Deal....Impossible!!

Does anyone know any tricks how to do this without going nuts and tearing your hands up in the process?

There should be a tool and the "chrome" seal you can buy from bav auto.

as a matter of fact, i need to replace mine also, so any help would be appreciated.

I've heard that it's a bitch to get them off. But I still want to take them off, then paint them so I can have the "shadowline" treatment.
