I just did it.
I've bought another e30.

It's a 320iA slushbox - exactly what I've been looking for, because you can't find un-raced manual e30s in Germany for reasonable money.
It's an exact copy of my Touring - same build date (March 88), same interior (Antrazith), same original tranny... only it's a 4-door.
Now the best thing is the price: exactly 99420 miles, and really RUST-FREE except for one bit on the rear right wheel arch. Plus I've got another interior (4 seats) with it.
All that for 700 Euros. It really was THE cheapest sub-150000km car in GERMANY. And it was sitting in a barn just 10 minutes away.
The owner bought it a couple of years back, never drove it, just kept it in a dry, cool barn. He actually wanted to keep it till it would become a classic car, but his parents needed the space. He didn't seem to know much about cars in general.
Car was before that afaik regularly serviced at the dealership.
Guys, (and gals) this is such a great base to start off - engine and tranny swap will be in over the winter if I can find a good 6-cyl engine (S50, M50, S38, M54 come to mind), then suspension and all the stuff.
This might with a good chance become my future Ringtool.
Oh, and the crappy advert pics as I'll pick it up next friday (need short-term tags first). Better pics will follow.
