If Wheel Bearings Are Worn.

ive got a humming noise that just got worse after 2 days, and i simply must get 24 miles further at least...

also this "noise" only happens when im moving forward, or turning left. Not right..in nuetral or in gear.

any ideas?

Jack up the car so the wheel is off the ground. Spin the wheel and while the wheel is spinning grab the spring and see if you can feel it shake/vibrate. If it does the wheel bearing is bad. This is a little harder to do if it is a rear wheel making noise cause of the extra drag from the axles and diff.
