| I have a 1984 318 i 4 cyclinder, automatic and when i start the car up the idle is very low @about 500rpm then when i step on the accelerater the revs go up but get stuck and doesn't come back down .I thought it might be the idle valve so i changed it but didn't make a difference, ichecked for vacum leaks but there isn't any i also replaced the idle control unit and that didn't help either. And now i noticed that the exhaust manifauld gets very hot almost red hot. What do u lot think it might be.Please let me know and put me out of my misery. Thanks. |
