I HATE PIN STRIPES!!!

Is their an easy way to take pin stripes off of a car. I think they look tacky!

I'm sure my car would look better without them.

Ive used an hairdryer before to remove pinstripes worked pretty good for me
it melts the glue on it so you can just peal it of with your finger nail

That or goo be gone but a stripe that old is going to be imbedded into the paint so it will never be officially gone.

Mine, which was the same design and in the same place as yours, was under the clearcoat - in which case you'll have to strip it right down to the stipe layer and then peel it off. At least you get a chance for a whole new clearcoat.

But since u don't want to shoot ur car i used a blade but since i am good with deatiling stuff u want to be sure to be presice lift up a little peice of the stripe useing ur blade when you get enough off try pulling it slowly to get as much of it off at a time

mine came off nicely, but it took awhile

heat it up with the hair dryer and strip it off with a credit card slowly, then put on globs of goo gone and rub off the sticky crap left over

its worth the time and effort, my car looks so much better

Thanks for the advice..I'm thinking that if I do take it off that their is still gonna be a strip of paint that is bright compared to the rest of the car.

If it's black paint, it'll just look blacker.
It would be brighter if it were a bright color, though.

after u get em off use a buffer and such to get all the shit off and give the car a good wash

unless the rest of your paint is extremely faded, you wont be able to notice the darker strip where the pin stripe was.. i know i couldnt

Sounds like an all day project so I think it will be awhile till I can get to it. It certanly sounds do-able..

it will look cool, in my opinion...with the pin stripe off and the paint is faded a lil bit, it will have a darker black line...almost like a pin stripe! haha
