How do I remove an air bag in a 325 I 1991
I am buying a 325 I and I am turning it into a track day car and have to remove the air bag according to the rules I am running under.
Does anybody know how to do this safely?
Thanks for your help.

Disconnect the battery 1st, take the air bag out, dont drop it, put it somwhere safe or sell it on ebay or wherever.

How more specifically do you get it out of the steering wheel?
Cut it or just pull it or what?

This article was actually for a different model of car and mine does not work the same way.
Does anybody else know how to remove an air bag from a 1991 325I.
I am prepping it for the track and have to get this air bag out without blowing my head off..
Thanks for your help.

disconnect the battery. there are two torq screws in the back of the steering wheel near the middle. unscrew them and unplug the airbag. it should come right off.
