| Look for crusty build up on the 6 outside terminals, check and see if the carbon center isn't flat and still springs back out when pushed wipe out the cap with a clean rag to remove and carbon dust. On rotor look for build up and pitted parts along the edge, then make sure that there isn't too much carbon dust collected around the center, this carbon dust can cause the spark to go elsewhere more so during wet conditions.
BTW, there are no points, other than the cap and rotor there is nothing else igniton related in there..
