what i did is i went to a BMW junk yard and pulled a whole exhaust system off of another e30 and gutted the cat and i use it on my car all the the time and when i need to get it smogged i juts put the legal one on that i had on before
you can get cats at junkyard? I always heard that was illegal. im working on a cat on a friend of mines car, and we're goanna gut it, but we cant get a cat at the junkyard

nice i did the same...just picked up a cat and punched out all the honeycomb shizit...
what sound and performance effect does that have? and is it hard to remove the cat and stuff a lot?

ummm it helps the performance a little bit i mean there arent any restrictions but the sound is great especially if your car is pumped up a little bit its just pure bliss to hear the bmw roar without it being choked from a cat. the sound is deeper and more raspier and it depends a little bit on what type of muffler you hahve on it.
