Hi Any Ideas why the fuel mix is wrong on my E30?

its basically burning a far too rich fuel mich and i dont want to do anything long dist until its sorted out

Spoke to a fellow E30 owner and he said the air intake sensor/flow meter can sometimes get jammed

Any ideas

Bad coolant temp sensor, broken vacuum line to fuel pressue regulator, faulty injectors, faulty fuel pressure regulator, faulty cold start injector, and a faulty thermo-time switch. Can all cause rich condition, faulty air flow very rarely causes a rich condition, often when these go bad the car doesn't run at all.

Quick Q - no response i will assume its a yes (cos its prob pretty obvious)

Is the fuel pressure reg - regulated by a hose that comes out of the engine near the head?

Cos ive just checked and said hose is secured by a crimp ring but is kinda loose, so this would benefit from a new fixing to air lock it

It's the small can shaped part that is on the fuel rail with the fuel return hose and vacuum line going to the intake manifold on it. Just replace the hose if it's loose. It's cheap anyway.
