Help needed no spark in my 87 325i

hi was wondering if anyone could help?
I have an 87 e30 325i sport when you turn the ignation on the car turns over but wont start it seems to be turning over very fast but the cylinder test was fine. the car will start on a bump and runs fine.
here,s a few things i,ve tried.
new plugs, leads, distributer cap rotor arm and battery.
when you check the coil with the ignition on there is 12.17 volts and when winding over its 10.47 volts and same with the main ht lead but when you check the plug leads when trying to fire the engine theres no spark or voltage. i,ve even change all the relays and check all fuse,s.

really need some help as my heads has been wrecked now for a full week.

crankshaft sensor, I would say.

hi thanks for your reply your boy i bought the car of told me he had replaced the camshaft and crankshaft sensor how can you test them. was also wondering how to bypass the (obd). i just think its funny how the voltage makes it right threw to distributor cap but the rotar arm mustn't be put it threw to the plugs.

I had the same problem with my 87 528e. I had no spark, checked grounds, replaced DME, fuses, coil, rotor, cap, plugs, to no avail. I ordered a crank sensor and got the one that is on the pulley, by the way, what does that sensor do?, I followed the wires, and they go to a pin receptacle plug, that goes nowhere. I finally located the crank position sensor below the starter. I found where the two plugs connected on a bracket below the plainum, and cleaned the plugs, and it started right up, but my idle is bouncy, then stalls, but I am going in the right direction. cheers will check them tomorrow the air flow metre makes them idle funny or the fuel pressure regulator

i have that sensor to it goes to the (obd )but isn't connect to anything must be used for dianostics not sure.

think about what you said. the engine will start with a bump? and runs fine? that rules out a number of issues, right?
