I have done searches on the web and have found almost nothing for improving the looks of my little 86 325E. I have heard that it takes a lot of work to fab a kit for an E30 325i on there but there must be another way. I am at a loss! Please help me

Nope, you're stuck with a lot of work. Plastic bumpers are the way to go. Front is easy, Back needs a bit of fabrication. (I have the front done, I call it the E30 mullet: Business in the front, party in the back.. )
You can see what mine looks like. I like it, but have a lot more work to do.
She will be going under the knife pretty soon to get an M30 swap, a suspension drop, etc, etc...

Wow! Mullet it is. Without a suspension drop it looks odd as well. Those 17's look tiny. I wanted 16's
dude those look HUGE what are you smokin? its just not lowered....

Thats what i meant. It looks small because you have so much of a gap. I put 18" on my E36 and it filled up the whole wheel well with stock suspension. With the gap it looks like you could fit 19's or even 20's under there.

nah. 17" are the limit for me. I only got them because they were local and cheap. The tires cost twice as much as the wheels.
But, as soon as it's lowered... it should fill up the wheel well pretty good.

Remove the grills, windshield wiper vents, and rear view mirrors, also the head lamp rings (they just pop off). Scuff them with a red scotch bright pad then wipe the dust off, try not to touch them with your bare hands, just plastic or latex gloves your skin oil can mess the paint up. After that apply a few even coats of trim paint found at advanced auto parts (green can) this is the most forgiving paint I know of. It looks a ton better than that gray oxidized look. Some even paint their chrome center piece, I like it chrome. So you don't have to tape off anything, just remove the plastic rivets and remove the chrome trim on the center piece if not scrub the chrome with the scotch and spray it as well. The trim paint can also be used to paint the plastic bumper covers, side marker light housings and trim as well. Look on ebay, you can find emblems, side marker lights, tail lights, and angel eye headlamps as well.
