I am currently looking at a few 318is' in the area, and was wondering what i should look for as far as problems go when shopping. Also what should i expect to pay for a good one!

Thanks

check the Considering Buying an E30 thread that is pinned at the top. that should answer most of your questions.

the 318is is the best 4 cyl. (other than the m3) it will still have about the same top speed as the six cylinders bimmers (mine did, and i had a 316i)my old 316i toped out at 205Kph and my 320 tops at about 210Kph

here is a pic of my old 316 (keep in mind i did blow the engine)
