heater fan switch not working

MY heater motor and resistor is good and also the fan switch and have replace relay switch and still nothing when I turn on inside fan for heat or fan or a/c. I did disconnect the arm level for the flapps on the inside motor because it was broke and would not open it ran all the time so that is not connected anymore. Does this have to be connected and working so I don't break the whole connection to the system?

TBH, yes... Simply because that device directs the airflow... Are you certain that the other components are working as they should?
