Heated Seats - BMW Forum

Just a quick question for you guys. how do the heated seats get heated. like do they turn on with your heater or do you have to manually turn them on. If so, where is the switch, cause i cant find one no where. thanks Crhis----

The heated steats come with the Cold Weather package...do you have the Cold Weather Package?

I dont know if i have the cold weaqther package. i do know that i have two wires running to a plug in on the bottom of the drivers seat. thansk Chris---

is the plug connected to anything? the heated seats switch should be on your center consol behind the window switches.

under my seat there are two wires that have a plug on the end, then in my seat itself there are two wiresthat have a plug on the end, they plug in together. but i dont know what they are for or where they actually run too. and to find out, i have to take out my carpets, and i font really want to unless i have to. ill try to go out and get a pic of it real quick. thanks Chris---

if the two wire are just on your drivers side those are just for the fasten your seatbelt light. not heated seats

Oh, ok, that makes sence for the fasten seatbelt thing. i dont know what kind of seats i have, they are either vynal or leather, i just got these new ones in it becuase me old clothe ones were toasted. heres a couple pics, but it probably is the seatbelt thing. thanks for your guys help.

i meant like are they sport seats? cause sport seats wont have the heaters. also check the other seat to see if it has this wire. and if you dont have the switch you probably dont have the heaters unless these seats you just put in are the heated versions then you just need to get the switches.
